Kia Mentor

Ratings

1 stars

Summary

Steer clear. Small Korean saloon that can offer very little to the discerning punter: nastily design, poorly packaged and unpleasant to drive. Steep depreciation more than offsets attraction of low new prices.

Review

A strong contender for the title of 'worst car on sale in Britain today.' Being a small saloon competing against a segment full of hatchbacks will ensure the Mentor is always of a minority interest. Still-interested parties will almost certainly find that the nasty plasticky cabin, uncomfortable seating, bland styling, loud engines, crashy ride and poor roadholding at anything approaching speed conspire to put off all but the most deliberately contrary. The Mentor is only suited to the most undemanding car buyers. It's almost laughably off the pace - but if you've bought one you won't be smiling.
