New version launched 2004, but the Accent already feels behind the times. If you need a roomy car for little money, then the 1.3 version is excellent no-frills value; there's also a good 1.5-litre diesel option or a new 1.6 petrol engine. Higher-specified models are too expensive and can't compete in this market. Truth is, a secondhand Ford Focus makes more sense.
