Fiat Seicento

Ratings

3 stars

Summary

Not Recommended. The ageing Seicento is still fun in sports guise, but well overdue for a facelift. A city car that flounders outside the urban environment.

Review

Whether you like the Seicento or not depends on your view of small Italian cars. Cheeky and zippy about town, the tiny Fiat quickly runs out of steam when you try and take it further afield. There's just one engine in the line-up - a 1.1 petrol - and only the Sporting version has enough extra equipment to be an enjoyable drive. It's a compact car, daily use of which is hampered by poor rear seat space and woeful luggage capacity. The equally small price may encourage some would-be buyers, but there are better cars for the money.
