Chrysler Voyager

Summary

Recommended. Big Chrysler has plenty of space for people and luggage - but not at the same time. A good image and a superb ride to match.

Review

The American philosophy of big is beautiful taken to the extreme. The Voyager is simply massive and can cope with seven passengers in three rows of seats - although luggage space is then cramped. The old version blotted its copybook with a poor NCAP crash safety record, but Chrysler has done a much better job with this model. Three engine options are available, from the sluggish 2.4 petrol up to the stronger 2.8 CRD diesel. The 2.5 CRD is a good compromise. Clever touches include electrically-operated rear doors and a three-zone temperature control. The grand Voyager is even larger and there's a new luxury XS model, too, with a DVD player as standard.
